This thesis investigates the characteristics of an architectural space, the Faculty of Architecture in Palermo, for the purpose of designing an effective system of orientation. The Percorsi e attraversa- menti project looks at topics related to orientation in public spaces and proposes several improving solutions, experimenting with, among other things, the use of anamorphosis, through macro- graphics that are essential for a correct use of the place.

The proposal is the result of the meeting between graphic design and a study of the “built space”. The signage system, in fact, is generated from and suggested by the space itself and the places and this allows you to integrate visual information on the interior and exterior surfaces of the Faculty, in a continuum that aims to put informant, information and informed together. The final outcome could be defined as a kind of “architecture that guides”.
